What this is not

Not net prices

Every figure is an official list price or reimbursement tariff as published. The prices that payers actually pay, after confidential discounts, rebates or agreements, are not public, and this site does not hold them.

Not a patient's cost

The annual cost at the WHO standard dose multiplies a cost per DDD by 365. The DDD is a unit of measurement and does not necessarily reflect the prescribed dose [1]. Patients take other doses and, depending on their cover, pay a co-payment, a deductible or nothing.

Not advice

This site gives no medical, pharmaceutical, financial or legal advice. The choice of a treatment or a device belongs to the patient and their health professional.

Official figures only

No figure comes from social media, leaks, press reports or confidential documents. Each comes from a public official source, cited with the date it was read.

Not a pricing tool

The WHO states that the ATC/DDD system by itself is not suited to guide decisions on reimbursement, pricing or therapeutic substitution [2]. The comparisons on this site describe published prices; they do not say which price would be fair.

Not complete

The pilot covers twenty medicines in three countries and eleven devices in three systems, read on 9 October 2026. Prices change every month: check the source before relying on a figure.

Not always like for like

Price levels differ: retail price including VAT in France and Spain, price paid to the pharmacy excluding VAT in the United Kingdom, Medicare fee schedule amount in the United States, minimum insurer benefit in Australia. For devices, codes cover different scopes; each page states how close the match is.
