    SMR : La Commission considère que le service médical rendu par TOUJEO (insuline glargine) est important dans le traitement du diabète sucré de l’adolescent et de l’enfant à partir de 6 ans.

    ASMR : Compte tenu : • de la démonstration de la non-infériorité de TOUJEO (insuline glargine) par rapport à LANTUS (insuline glargine), dans une étude ouverte, chez des enfants âgés de plus de 6 ans et des adolescent atteints de diabète de type 1 en termes de variation d’HbA1c après 26 semaines de traitement, avec une marge de non-infériorité prédéfinie de 0,3% (critère de jugement principal), • de la seule disponibilité de résultats d’efficacité sur un critère intermédiaire et de l’absence de donnée de morbi-mortalité, • du profil de tolérance de TOUJEO (insuline glargine) qui apparait similaire à celui de LANTUS (insuline glargine) dans cette même étude, • et de l’absence de donnée de qualité de vie, la Commission de la Transparence considère que TOUJEO (insuline glargine) n’apporte pas d’amélioration du service médical rendu (ASMR V) par rapport à LANTUS (insuline glargine) dans la prise en charge du diabète sucré chez l’enfant à partir de 6 ans et l’adolescent

    ASMR : Compte tenu, d’une part du contrôle glycémique obtenu avec LANTUS (insuline glargine) comparable à celui observé avec l’insuline NPH et l’insuline détémir (LEVEMIR), de l’absence de différence entre les insulines glargine, détémir et NPH en termes de survenue d’hypoglycémies sévères et entre les insulines glargine et détémir sur les hypoglycémies globales et nocturnes, des avis d’experts qui ne reconnaissent pas un avantage dans leur pratique quotidienne à l’utilisation de LANTUS par rapport à un autre analogue lent de l’insuline, et, d’autre part, des recommandations actuelles qui ne privilégient plus l’intensification du traitement du diabète de type 2 ce qui réduit en conséquence la survenue d’hypoglycémies, la Commission de la transparence ne peut confirmer l’avantage reconnu auparavant à LANTUS (ASMR mineure en termes de tolérance) dans le diabète de type 1 et de type 2. Ainsi, la Commission considère que LANTUS (insuline glargine) n’apporte pas d’amélioration du service médical rendu (ASMR V, inexistante) dans la prise en charge des patients adultes ou adolescents et des enfants âgés de plus de 2 ans atteints de diabète de type 1 ou de type 2.
